through the Institute for the Study and Application of Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah (LPP-AIK) Muhamamdiyah University Jakarta (UMJ) handed over prizes to UMJ International students at the At-taqwa Mosque, Friday (6/10/23).
Prizes in the form of two million rupiah in cash and one million rupiah in living expenses for one year were given directly to seven international students, namely Shukronah (Tajikistan), Luqman (Yemen), Mahmud (Tajikistan), Jasur (Turkmenistan), Muborakshoh (Tajikistan), Ala (Yemen), and Ali (Yemen).
This handover activity was a promise given by Ustadz Adi Hidayat at the launch of the international tahfizh program at the Cendikia Building, Muhammadiyah University, Jakarta, Tuesday (26/9/23).
UMJ became the first Islamic campus to launch an international tahfizh program. This program will bring together hafizh from twenty countries and interact globally. During the launching event, Ustad Adi Hidayat interacted a lot and gave gifts as a form of appreciation for the students' enthusiasm in welcoming the international tahfizh program.
Secretary of LPP-AIK UMJ Mulkan Habibie, S.Kom.I., MIKom., said that this was a spontaneous reaction carried out by UAH as a form of appreciation, not deliberately designed.
"UAH is known to be very generous, this was a form of spontaneity from him and was not designed by LPP-AIK. "UAH gives gifts as a form of appreciation that they are willing to strive to study far from their home country," he said when met in the LPP-AIK UMJ room.
Furthermore, Mulkan explained that the seven international students would take part in the international tahfiz program in direct collaboration with UAH and would be coached by LPP-AIK UMJ.
