Chancellor of the UMJ , was officially appointed as General Chair of the Muhammadiyah Student Association Alumni Family Forum (Fokal IMM) at the Central Leadership Inauguration and Silatnas event on Saturday (28/10/23).

Previously, Ma'mun in the V Samarinda National Conference (Munas) was included in the list of selected formators along with Yusuf Warsim, Fikri Yasin, Suli Da'im, Hadi Mulyadi, Muhammad Saleh Tjan, Feri Yanthy Burhan, NA Fitri Gayo, Enjang Tedi, Yayat Suyatna , Wahidin Hasan, Edi Agus Yanto, and Andi Nurpati. These 13 names then determine the management structure of FOKAL IMM for the next five years.
In the event held at the Peninsula Hotel, Jakarta, the IMM Focal Central Leadership Management for the 2023-2028 period was inaugurated, which consisted of elements of the advisory board, advisory board, expert board and daily board. Inauguration based on decision letter (SK) Number 01/A-1/I/2023 concerning the appointment and ratification of the IMM Focal, starting from 21 September 2023.
Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah Prof. KH Haedar Nashir, M.Sc., in his speech stated that IMM is the backbone of Muhammadiyah's intellectual-based cadres. Haedar believes that in the future there will be strategic interests that require the support of intellectual cadres in various fields. This is in accordance with Muhammadiyah's vision of excellence and progress.
"I hope that in the future a new wave of Muhammadiyah cadres will be born, both from IMM, IPM, Pemuda, Nasyiatul Asyiyah (NA), and all autonomous organizations with superior quality," hoped Haedar.
The newly appointed Chair of the IMM Focal, Ma'mun Murod, in his speech revealed that the IMM Focal must be able to take strategic steps to build cultural strength by establishing synergistic relationships with various parties, one of which is the political diaspora. According to him, this is in line with what was conveyed by the Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah.
"Fokal as a non-structural organization is expected to strengthen cultural work, especially in efforts to accelerate politics in Muhammadiyah's young generation. "This is not easy work, but of course we have to make an effort," said Ma'mun.
Furthermore, Ma'mun added that Muhammadiyah cadres in fields other than politics were quite good. This encourages IMM Focal to focus on increasing the political diaspora for cadres. Apart from that, this effort is also in line with the event theme "Building Political Synergy to Realize Civilized Politics."
On that occasion, the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Dito Ariotedjo, was also present, who in his speech emphasized that Muhammadiyah is a large, organized and systematic organization. Therefore, he hopes that Muhammadiyah as an organization can continue to be an inspiration.
Dito also emphasized that the Ministry of Youth and Sports is ready to collaborate with Muhammadiyah in the youth and sports sectors. Various programs are ready to be synergized to develop the character of young people.
Apart from the Minister of Youth and Sports, there were also presidential candidates (Bacapres) and (Bawacapres) Vice President who had been officially promoted by their respective coalitions, namely Ganjar Pranowo and Muhaimin Iskandar. Both of them were specially invited to stay in touch with IMM Fokal alumni who attended from various regions and convey ideas.
Muhaimin Iskandar in his speech said that Fokal IMM is a very strategic organization as one of the implementers of realizing Muhammadiyah's goals. Of course, this activity is a means of re-establishing Muhammadiyah values.
"It is natural for IMM to be the successor of history to practice Muhammadiyah values regarding humanity and nationality," explained the politician who is usually called Cak Imin.
In another session, Ganjar Pranowo explained that Muhammadiyah has served the nation and state a lot, especially in the important role of youth. Muhammadiyah's strengths are in the fields of health and education. In front of hundreds of IMM Focal members, Ganjar invited everyone to continue their contribution to making Indonesia Gold 2045 a reality.
“We learn from Muhammadiyah which has independence and self-reliance. "In the fields of health and education, Muhammadiyah has proven its performance," said Ganjar.
The inauguration and National Silat were continued with the IMM Focal National Working Meeting which lasted for two days, Saturday to Sunday (28-29/10/23). The participants in this activity seemed enthusiastic, IMM Focal members from various regions were seen filling the room until the evening.
