The SHANKARA Flying Robot Community, Faculty of Engineering, Muhammadiyah University, Jakarta (FT UMJ) held its first training on Aeromodelling in the Al-Biruni Room, Faculty of Engineering, UMJ, Wednesday (01/11/2023). A total of 20 students from various study programs participated in the training enthusiastically.

This training, which takes place regularly once a week, aims to be a forum for developing interests, talents and fostering students' skills and creativity, especially new students in the fields of technology and research.
The training activities were guided by an Aeromodelling expert , namely Rojiwanudi, ST. Participants learned the history, basics and components of aeromodelling and how it works. Apart from honing the skills of community members, this routine training is also preparation for the Indonesian Flying Robot Competition (KRTI) in 2024.
The initial training is the first step in building cadres who excel and integrate so they can progress more each year. One of the competition divisions that is a mainstay in the KRTI competition is, Racing plane, Fixed wing , and TD airframe (Development technology) . These three divisions are a mainstay, and won the title of Champion of Hope in 2020.
“A reliable pilot will never be born without a lot of training and experience. Success can be achieved with sincerity and seriousness. Let's make national and international achievements in the field of aeromodelling , which will start with today's Basic Aeromodelling training . Shankara, glory in the air!” said the head of the FT-UMJ Shankara Community, Muhammad Fathur Rizky, FT-UMJ Industrial Engineering Student.
With this training, Rizky hopes that the Shankara FT-UMJ Community will become increasingly known as a community that has great potential both on campus and outside campus, and that achievement can become a motivation for UMJ students.
