PK IMM FKM Collaborates to Empower Orphanage Children

The Social Sector of Community Empowerment together with the Immawati Sector, Leadership Committee (PK) of the Muhammadiyah Student Association (IMM) Faculty of Public Health (FKM) Muhammadiyah University, Jakarta (UMJ) collaborated to hold orphanage empowerment activities at the Prosperous Community Development Foundation, Sunday (29/10/23) .

This activity entitled " Be Human for Humanity " provides education on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS), including how to wash hands, nutritious food, advice not to litter, and eradicating mosquito larvae. Apart from that, children were given painting activities using paper bags.

Vice Dean III FKM Dr. Suherman S.PI., M.KM., M.Sc., Ph.D., appreciated the activities held by PK IMM FKM. According to him, this empowerment activity can help develop students' soft skills and hard skills .

“This activity is very good and excellent because it can develop students' soft skills and hard skills . "I hope that this activity will not stop here, but will continue with even bigger events," said Suherman.

On the same occasion, the General Chair of PK IMM FKM Masfur Muzakki, advised that this activity was the first step to deepen the meaning of sharing and gratitude.

" I hope this activity becomes an innovation and activity that can provide knowledge, benefits and other goodness to each other so that the good deeds and good deeds planted can be useful in the future ."

Apart from that, the chief executive, Rifdah Aulia, expressed her gratitude to the Prosperous Community Development Foundation for welcoming the empowerment activities carried out by PK IMM FKM.

"Thank you to the foundation for giving us the time and space, hopefully the knowledge we provide can be useful," concluded Aulia.

This event was welcomed enthusiastically by the children at the orphanage. The counseling and painting activities were a form of sharing knowledge and hobbies for both the committee and the orphanage children.

The activity ended with the presentation of a certificate as a form of thanks from PK IMM FKM to the orphanage foundation for making this event a success and providing full support.
